I was right where you were, endlessly scrolling on youtube trying to teach myself photography. My camera sitting on the shelf collecting dust. It wasn't until I had a photographer buddy walk me through how to use my camera in Manual mode, that things started to click (pun intended!). Now I finally understood how to use my camera to create timeless memories of my family.
Let me be that photography buddy, for you!
Let me teach you how to freeze time with nostalgic photography that tells your family's story - without the cheese!
Hey! I'm Courts. As a fellow Mama of two and obsessive memory preservationist! I've created a course which will help get you feeling more comfortable with your big fancy camera, and allow you to create photos of your kids that will make your heart melt and have you proud to hang on your walls. I can't wait to do this journey with you as your photography buddy and guide.
✓ Your DSLR or Mirrorless Camera is leaving you confused
✓ You sit up at night crying over photos of your littles
✓ You want to learn photography from another mama, who isn't going to man-splain you or get too techy,
✓ You’ve never shot in manual mode, or have no idea what that means!
✓ You’d love to turn everyday moments into works of art.
✓ You want to create frame-worthy photos of your kids.
✓ You’ve been searching for a like-minded group of mamas to share and grow your photography skills alongside.
✓You’re looking for a passion which fills your cup and you can call your own
✗ You’re a professional photographer who already knows how to shoot in manual (this is targeted to beginners)
✗ You want to learn to shoot something other than portraits (e.g. landscape).

"Courtney is one of the most talented photographers and business women I’ve met. The course so full of information, guidance and support! It was fantastic to practice what we’ve learned straight away and really made me want to continue on this journey and be able to capture my little one growing up. I was so impressed by the photos everyone's taken and full credit goes to Courts - she guided us beautifully through both taking photos and editing them. Thank you, Courtney!"

How to get the most out of this course, including a chat through different camera/lens styles and getting your kit together.
I'll take you through mindset tips when photographing your kids - and making it an enjoyable experience for all.
If you have no idea what to look for when it comes to a 'good photo', I'll be taking you through some of the basics of artful photography. Getting grips on these will get you on the path to creating photos which you can't wait to show off.
Light is the main ingredient for artful photographs.
You will be taught to identify the different types of light and harness it to create photos like the pro's!
Have all the camera settings left you feeling confused in the past?
Here you will learn which settings are necessary, and which you don't need to worry about. No fluff here!
Get in control of your camera by learning to shoot in manual mode.
In this segment we will go through Shutter Speed, Aperture and ISO. By the end of it you will know exactly what that all means and how to bring dreamy photos to life.
Come behind the scenes as I photograph my own kids! I'll talk you through my approach and settings so you can apply the same with your littles.
Bring your photos to life, editing them on Lightroom Mobile. I'll take you through the whole process from importing images, to backing them up.

Yep, for LESS than the cost of a photography session I will teach you to create beautiful photos yourself
This course focuses in on photographing your kids, however the skills are transferrable to any kind of portrait photography such as Maternity, Newborn, Family, etc. If you are looking to become a landscape or product photographer (for example) this may not be the right course for you.
You will have access to the course for 12 months. If you still wish to access the course after this time you can renew for another year at a fraction of the cost if it is still available. It is a self-paced course. I recommend a pace of about 1 module per week to allow time for practicing each part however this will differ person to person.
Questions can be posted in the private facebook group (anonymous option will be enabled - however we have all been a learner at some point!) I am constantly monitoring the group plus it is great to get insights from the other mama photographers in there.
The course is suited from the most beginner (haven't ever used their camera) to anyone who is yet to learn to shoot in manual mode, and considers themselves a beginner. The editing portion is taught on lightroom mobile, so if you are planning on becoming a professional photographer you will need to apply this to the desktop equivelant. The core skills are the same.
